Restraining Order

Pete Geary was recently charged with Unlawful Stalking against John Aster. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions did not proceed with the charge, instead implementing a Restraining Order against Geary on 13 May 2022 pursuant to section 359F of the Queensland Criminal Code, by consent.

Under the terms of the Restraining Order (Indictment No.: 120/22, in the District Court at Brisbane): :

  1. Peter Anthony GEARY is prohibited from directly or indirectly, personally or otherwise, having or attempting to have any contact with John George ASTER.
  2. Peter Anthony GEARY is prohibited from approaching or attempting to approach John George ASTER.
  3. Peter Anthony GEARY is prohibited from harassing or intimidating, either directly or indirectly John George ASTER.
  4. Peter Anthony GEARY is prohibited from entering, going to, loitering near, or remaining in the home address of John George ASTER at [REDACTED].
  5. Peter Anthony GEARY is prohibited from contacting, either directly or indirectly the immediate family members of John George ASTER, including his daughter.
  6. Peter Anthony GEARY is prohibited from taking photographs of, or in the general direction of John George ASTER.
  7. Peter Anthony GEARY is prohibited from publishing any material whatsoever, on the internet or elsewhere, that refers to John George ASTER or the home address of John George ASTER.

The Order states that it shalll, unless varied or revoked sooner, continue up to and including the day of thirteenth day of May, 2032.
